First Glamping Trip

Our first glamping trip was to Bastrop Texas KOA on the Colorado River.  The owners were so nice and happy to help us.  It's a gated KOA.  Has nice accommodations - swimming pool, park area, a deck at the river, very clean bathrooms.  I thought we would be able to get down to and walk the bank of the river, but it was badly overgrown.  We had an awesome fireworks display, downtown Bastrop was celebrating something!  Downtown has a lot of boutique shops on there "strip" and a variety of eateries.

Co-op day at Healthy Living

We picked up out first co-op box from Healthy Living http://www.iridologyathealthyliving.com/.  It had bananas, apples, pears, carrots, lettuce, kale, celery, avacodos, broccoli and oranges in it.  Love this pretty color in the winter, It has been cold, rainy and dreary around here.  I think I am ready for spring!

Boots and Buckles Ball

Raising money for kiddos and enjoying Texas Country Music

We has such a great time Saturday at the Boots and Buckles Ball, benefiting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.  It’s always a good time when you get to bid on auction items, have a nice catered meal,  and dance to some Texas Country!

Snow Day in Texas

We had a winter storm last night.  It snowed, sleeted and rained.  The schools, county offices and roads have been shut down!  Our dogs are crazy with the weather too!  Here are some pictures of our big snow storm in Texas! LOL  I Love that I was raised, live and raise my family in Texas. Everything is bigger here, except the snow!

I think we will spend the day by the fire.

This year

It's been a rough year and 5 months, our oldest son, Chanse died in a car wreck just miles from our home. I feel like I am emerging from a cloudy fog, but I tell you that God has carried me and my family thru this hard time.  I am certainly thankful for Gods provision, comfort, faithfulness, love for our family. While I do not agree with Chanse's death, as I have told God (You may as we'll pour your heart out to God cause he knows your thoughts anyway) I do know that God is sovern to his people and nothing takes Him by surprise.

This will be the first garden I have planted with out Chanse.  He used to till it for me, with no shirt and barefooted.  He loved the feel of fresh, cold dirt between his toes I guess. LOL I should have taken a picture of him tilling the ground!  It will be a little heart wrenching but I am looking forward to digging in the dirt and growing a garden this year.  Working in the garden is a therapy I probably should have kept doing!

We will be planting soon!

Living with sons, husbands, and fathers

We love the men in our home. But there is one male that continues to leave his toilet seat up. He is right, it is his bathroom, but I use it occasionally. I found this picture on Pinterest a while back, and finally made the time to cut it out.
Love it!  Wish it was attached to a site or person so I could give them credit for it.
Here is the one I made on my vinyl cutter. It isn't centered because I had to go around those knob things under the seat.
We all had a great laugh :)
